It has not been easy getting here, and we have a long way to go to get it “finished”.

BUT I can’t wait to see the vision come to life up here, can you?!

It’s also something that requires very little technical skill and I don’t need much direction on what needs to happen.

The less questions I need to ask—the better. Let him stay focused on his bigger tasks while I handle what I can, ideally without being asked to do so.

In today’s video I share a bit more of our home renovating story of the last two homes we’ve owned while explaining this current phase of our renovation.

I shared on stories over the weekend that we just wrapped up this rough plumbing project you’ll see us start in this video and I just want to remind you that instagram is not reality. Posting videos on social media is not a true depiction of reality. I post videos because I think it is fun and I want to be able to look back at what we did with this house. ♥️

Renovations are not for the faint of heart 👇🏼

This stair project bumped itself to the forefront of our minds once we realized it needed to be done in order to insulate these two floors properly.

Initially we thought we’d remove the second doorway into the 2nd floor apartment but we realized we wouldn’t have enough space for a door to swing onto the landing. So we pivoted and decided to keep the door and have the stairs come up along side the exterior wall.

You’ll be able to see the whole progress very soon!

We have been project hopping like crazy and we are on the cusp of finishing them all just before the snow flies! 🤞🏼
