I’ve been on a warm drink kick lately and wanted to share some of my favorite nourishing drinks to enjoy that aren’t coffee.
1.Molasses Drink
To make this drink you need molasses, 8 oz warm water some cinnamon, and a splash of half and half. It has been my hyper-fixation drink of this season and I get to thank my sister for it. My kids love this as well. Molasses is a great source of nutrients such as iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium and B6 vitamins. Not to mention it can help with oxidative stress in the body. Took a few times to get used to it but I crave it now.
- Backstrap Molasses
- 8-10 oz of water
- Cinnamon
- Half and Half
To make you will add about a tablespoon of molasses to a coffee cup and sprinkle in your cinnamon. Pour in your 8-10 oz of hot water. Then mix in your half and half, I like to use a milk frother. Then enjoy! I’d suggest trying it a few times, before deciding it’s not for you!
2. Hot Chocolate
Another of my kid’s favorite. I use the Perfect Supplements Chocolate Collagen and mix it with warm milk. My process is to put the milk in a pot on a stove. Then whisk in the chocolate collagen until combined and heated to the desired temperature. So simple and so easy, without all that extra sugar and other junk. When I run out of the chocolate collagen I just whisk in some of regular collagen with some cacao powder and a splash of maple syrup and heat to desired temperature.

3. Noelle Kovary’s Yolky Drink
Noelle Kovary is one to follow if you are wanting to glean information and knowledge about supporting our bodies as woman. This is her recipe and creation so all the credit to her.
I made a few tweaks to the original recipe based on what I have on hand, what I like, but all suggestions and substitutions are from Noelle herself.
- 1 Raw Egg Yolk
- 1 Tbs Maple Syrup
- Splash of Vanilla Extract
- 1 to 1 1/2 cup Raw Milk
- Dash of Cinnamon
- 1 TBS Collagen
First you whip the egg yolk with maple syrup until frothy. I use my battery powered frother for this. Add in Vanilla, Raw Milk, and Cinnamon, mix with frother then slowly dump in collagen. It’s so delicious.
As a side note you can also sip on some tea, I personally love Throat Coat by Traditional Medicinals. Its great when you have a sore throat but i drink it all season long!
So when you are sick of coffee or feeling like you’d like a warm drink in your hand try one of these. It may just become your new hyper-fixation drink!
